Our builder referred us to Eddie to wrap up a big job on the back half of our house that had four gutters dangling for months! Our builder trusts Eddie and has worked with him for years and we can see why: his team that came out to do the job, Albert and Danny, were clearly experts in this kind of work, offered clever adjustments to make a tricky task work beautifully and did an outstanding job. Eddie saved the day! I had a double hung window that slid down underneath the bottom window and would not come up. Eddie has already contacted the manufacturer of my windows and ordered all of the parts to repair them. He dropped what he was doing to come to my house and fix the window. He was extremely kind, reassuring and professional. He had already moved a gutter for me and vinyled the outside of my back porch, so that the screens could be easily repaired when needed. I would highly recommend Eddie and Charleston Exteriors for any work that you may need done.

I built a custom home in Mt. Pleasant and needed windows and gutters. I called Eddie not knowing anything about gutter styles. Eddie suggested half round galvanized aluminum gutters that made my home stand out in the community and gave it a custom finished look! I work in Real Estate and have had quite a few experiences with contractors from large jobs to small. While my experiences are rarely awesome, my experience with Eddie Taylor and Charleston Exteriors was the worst experience I've ever had.

I don't think Eddie Taylor is an honest person. I had hired him to install some windows and patio doors. He asked for a deposit that was significantly more than the cost of materials. The person that actually did the work, who was either a subcontractor that he found for the lowest possible price or an employee who was ill-qualified to do the job did not adequately install the windows, broke trim without repairing or replacing it, installed windows crooked and without insulation, left gobs of caulk all over the trim and no caulk in some places where it should be, broke one of the mechanical parts of the windows, through out necessary pieces of equipment, would work for 3 hours one and then not again for several days, left trash in the yard and house, left oil stains in the driveway from a car that had a major oil leak, among many other issues. I eventually had to tell Eddie and his employeee/subcontractor not to come back after giving him ample opportunity to fix the issues. Eddie never even laid eyes on the house after providing the initial estimate to see what kind of work was done, to see the issues I had raised, etc. I absolutely would NOT recommend Eddie Taylor or Charleston Exteriors LLC.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due. About the only thing I can say for Eddie is that he didn't try to charge $10,000 more than the job was worth like several others I got quotes from, but I guess the old adage is true: 'you get what you pay for.' My recommendation if you need new windows and/or doors would be to get a quote from Eddie and Charleston Exteriors and then try to get a well-reviewed / competent contractor to match the price. In retrospect, that's what I should have done.

Charleston Exteriors installed beautiful gutters on my home in a very timely manner. Eddie is extremely professional and follows through on all verbal discussions. A screen on one of the gutters needed resecuring after the gutters were installed and Eddie ensured this was done as soon as I called. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs their services. Eddie is 100% reliable!
